Mary, the woman who writes the devotionals on her blog, Who Needs His Love?, recently lost her father. 
She wanted to share this post with you during this time and hopes it ministers to those who also may be going through a "storm" in life.

First UMC of St. Marys belongs to the Kane District which is part of the Western PA United Methodist Conference. Each conference has a bishop (ours is Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton) and each district has a superintendent (ours is Tom Strandburg). There are many great things going on in our district and we thought you might like to see the link that lists those events. Singles Group Meetings

Come and enjoy food, fun, and fellowship with other singles. The Singles group meets every two weeks on Fridays at 6  p.m. at a Single's home. During the summer the group picnics, swims, takes walks, and other outdoor activities. Contact the office for more information.

Methodist School for Supernatural Ministry

The Methodist School for Supernatural Ministry Event is coming to Western PA, October 3-6, 2012. (Click on that link to learn more about it!) The event will be held at Jumonville Retreat Center. 


This event is hosted by Western PA Renewal Fellowship and Aldersgate Renewal Ministries puts on the event (this is the same organization that will be at our church for the "Lord, Teach Us to Pray" event).

10:00 am  Services with Picnic to Follow /  Please bring a dish to share.

Hamburgs, Hot Dogs, Condiments & Drinks will be supplied. 

Needed:  3 Grills & 3 Grill Operators.  (We got the grills and grillers needed... thanks so much!) Please contact the Church Office.  834-3016

There will be seating for 100 –  if you have lawn chairs – that would be helpful.

Please feel free to bring any yard games ~~ bring family members ~~ bring a friend ~~  Let’s have fun!

PS:  There is plenty of parking adjacent to the Pavilion with paved handicap parking to help with
wheelchairs, crutches, walking canes, etc.  The bathrooms are usable and fully handicap accessible.
